The Light of Jesus

I am the wearer of the scarlet letter the hush, you be quiet, we don’t share those kinds of secrets. I am the shame of a broken girl fighting to know light, dreaming of lands filled with tall grass, full moons. Flowers of all kinds, rainbows, and cloud filled skies.  Where dreams do come true and hardship finds ease and pain becomes peace, see, I broke free from secrets kept to save your perfect image and found the voice of a warrior willing to fight for new life. See my God was bigger than the man who steals pieces of little girls, bigger than bald up fist and angry pain, bigger than puddles, drenched with weary tears, bigger than lies that fill books of broken dreams.  All along while seeing my footprints in the sand, I found Jesus he was holding my hand see, he died on the cross for me for my pain. My shame, my scarlet letter, and hush don’t tells.  He captured all my puddles of tears and dried them with his perfect Love. Please, understand I am not the workmanship of perfection. I am just the opposite, but I serve an everlasting, blood-shedding, perfect love, mercy-filled God who died a gruesome death for soul like mine. I am the vessel of clay, broken helplessly lay, but hope and new faith in God is where I lay today.  So please tell all my hush don’t tells, tell all my stories of my imperfect flaws, share all my shame, and all my pain…. but don’t you forget who saved my soul, who made me whole, who I surrendered all control.   I had not no way out. My scarlet letter had become my name and I had given up and surrendered to pain, but there in the darkest pit were some give in and eternally quit…. Love's mercy came in and redeemed this wretched soul of mine.  

So, this little light of mine I’m gonna let it shine.
